Abu Salman is a well admired speaker and writer on Islamic subjects. Over the last 25 years, he has spoken at many events in different parts of the world in general and in many States in the United States in particular. His speaking engagements in the United States include University of Missouri, the University of Pennsylvania, the George Mason University, many Islamic Centers and churches.
A reverted Muslim from Syracuse, NY., he has over 15 years of teaching experience of Islamic Studies; Aqeedah, Hadith, Comparative Religions, Seerah, Islamic History. He studied Arabic Language first in Umm Durman, Sudan and then in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in the Science of Hadeeth, and Master’s degree in Islamic Aqeedah from the Islamic University of Madinah. He was a Doctoral candidate at the same university with the thesis entitled: “The Necessity of Mankind to follow the Message of Muhammad”.
Umm Salman keeps more of a low-key profile. She teaches online and onsite classes of Tajweed-ul-Quran, tafseer and other Islamic subjects. She also gives week-long intensive tajweed courses to the teachers/fast learners. Occasionally she delivers lectures/speeches to colleges and private gatherings on requests.
